UMBI CEO Talk program

CEO Talk is a quarterly program at UMBI where we invite top management from the industry to share their thoughts and experience on aspects unrelated to research, so as to expose our staff and students to areas outside research.

On 18 October 2019, we have successfully held the 4th CEO Talk program at our institute. We are very delighted to have Madam Lye Siew Fen as our speaker. Madam Lye is the Manager of the Bioinformatics Department, BioEasy Sdn Bhd. She joined the company since 2009 and has been actively providing bioinformatics solutions to the genomics market, not only in Malaysia but also in the ASEAN region. She has vast experience dealing with top genomics giants such as Illumina, SOPHiA GENETICS and BC Platform.

In her talk “How You Adapt to the Future Genetics”, Madam Lye shared with us interesting insights on the essential attitudes and attributes that we must possess in order to adjust ourselves to the ever-changing future.
