UMBI researchers secured CRP-ICGEB grant

UMBI researchers have secured another international grant from Collaborative Research Programme (CRP) – International Centre of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) that is based in Trieste, Italy.  The principal investigator, Dr Mohamad Aimanuddin Mohtar was awarded with the CRP-Early Career Return Grant worth RM165,875.00 for the course of 3 years. Dr Aiman and the team will focus on stage IV brain cancer (Glioblastoma Multiforme) by targeting cell surface proteins using CRISPR gene editing technology.
