Vacancy for a PHD Candidate

Are you interested in pursuing a graduate degree?

We are seeking applications for a Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) who will also enrol as a full-time PhD candidate for a project on the ‘Elucidating the hepatocyte profile of individuals with low LDL cholesterol via induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) donor-derived model in Familial Hypercholesterolemia.’

The project has a three-year (36-month) duration and covers three key research themes:
• Genetics & Transcriptomics
• Molecular Biology
• Stem Cell Research

Monthly stipend and specialized training will be provided to develop the necessary skills, including generating iPSCs, RNA-seq data analysis, and other relevant training.

Requirements:
• Malaysian citizen
• Must register as a full-time student
• Possess a Master’s degree in Molecular Medicine / Biotechnology / Biomedical Sciences or other related fields
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia (oral and written)
• Able to work independently and is a team player
• Basic experience with cell culture is a plus
• Based in UMBI (UKM), Cheras, Kuala Lumpur
