I would begin with all praise to Allah, May the Salaah and Salaam of Allah be on the final prophet, Muhammad (pbuh), his family, Companions and all those who follow them in righteousness, until the Day of Judgement.
My background is information systems, in particular, decision support systems (DSS). In developing a DSS, an analytical or decision model is an essential component of a DSS. Data mining is one of many approaches that we can use to develop a model. For a Ph.D., I literally jump into machine learning. I am a ‘murid’ and researcher in decision-analytic. Obtained my PhD from UTM for developing a hierarchical clustering algorithm using Artificial Immune System Algorithm. Thanks to Prof. Dr Jon Timmis, Prof. Dr Siti Mariyam, and Prof. Dr Azuraliza for their support.
My current research project is on the following area:
- Automatic planning and scheduling.
- Sentiment Analysis.
- Machine Learning
