The design, build and test of a 2 axis - 2 point traversing system was initially for the Aero. Lab. UTM. The motor and controller used are of Velmex and Vexta. With ball screw pitch of 1.6mm, the accuracy provided by Vexta PK266 series (1.8 degree/step) is less than 0.1mm. The control uses either LabView or Matlab. The traverse is design by our fluid mechanics team and built at our workshop.
