About CNC 2024
Creative Novice Coder is an annual game programming competition designed for enthusiastic young coders aged 13 to 16 years old in learning game programming and develop their own digital game.
This program is organized by iSTEM in collaboration with PKAS-UKM to train and develop creativity, programming skills, communication skills and team-working skills among young coders in Malaysia.

Let's revolutionize the world of digital game development together! Are you up for the challenge?
Who Should Join This Program ?
Anyone aged 13 to 16 years old interested to learn programming and game development. No prior experience or skills required. Must be willing to learn and commit for 7 months long online learning journey with us!
When The Classes Be Held ?
Classes are completely online. There will be 9 online workshops and 3 presentations. Each session will be 2 hours (8pm – 10pm, Saturdays)
Program starts in May and ends in September. Final competition will be held in December (date to be announced soon).
Do I Need To Know Basic Programming?
No, you don’t. This program is designed for ‘novice’. Anyone can learn! We’ll teach and train you.
Do I need laptop for this?
Participants require to have their own basic laptop or desktop PCs throughout the program to do hands-on training. Just a basic laptop or PC will work fine.
Is there any discount or funding opportunity?
Yes. Register as group of 5 to get discounted fee of RM 1,200.
You may also get sponsorship from school, PIBG and external bodies. You may communicate with out team if require any presentation or discussion with sponsoring bodies.
