Introduction
The Regional Conference of Solid State Science and Technology (RCSSST) is an annual event in Malaysia. This 26th Conference 2011 is jointly organized by the Faculty of Science and Technology, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia as the host, in cooperation with the Malaysian Solid State Science and Technology Society (MASS).
The aim of this conference is to provide a platform for discussions of Solid State Science and Technology in all aspects of physical and chemical properties, preparation and characterization techniques, optical properties; macro-, micro- and nano-structures. In addition, modeling, simulation and measurement methods as well as current developments in technology will also be discussed.
Post Annual Regional/International Conferences Organised by MASS
One of the core activities of MASS is to organise its annual conference in order to allow scientists and engineers to interact and exchanging new or recent results or knowledge in the field of solid state science and technology. The first annual regional conference was organised in 1991 and since then MASS never fail to organise this annual regional/international conference. In maintaining such a tradition, MASS always adopt a strategy to invite universities to be a co-organiser. The last three MASS annual regional/international conference, i.e. for 2010, 2009 and 2008 were co-organised with UNIMAS, UniMAP and UPM, respectively. For this year 2011, the co-organiser is Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
Publication
Selected papers will be reviewed for consideration to be published in Advanced Material Research (Trans Tech Publication, Switzerland - ISI and SCOPUS Indexed Proceedings), Journal of Solid State Science & Technology and the Journal of Solid State Science & Technology Letters.
