In view of the growing uncertainties and changing situation amidst the outbreak of the COVID-19 across the region, it is regret to inform that the 2020 Asia Pacific Science and Technology Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (APSTCDRR, http://www.ukm.my/apstcdrr/) convened under the aegis of the National Disaster Management Agency of the Prime Minister’s Department of Malaysia and Academy of Sciences Malaysia scheduled to be held in Kuala Lumpur on 16-17 March 2020 has been cancelled.

The cancellation was made upon consultation with Ministry of Health Malaysia and request made by the key international partner, the Asia Pacific Science Technology Academia Advisory Group, taking into consideration of the health, safety and security of the presenters and participants of Asia Pacific Member States, and to prevent and minimize the spread of the disease from further affecting the people.
