Course Syllabus

Course Synopsis

Kursus ini membincangkan isu pengurusan makroekonomi yang dihadapi dan dasar penstabilan yang diamalkan oleh negara membangun, khususnya Malaysia. Tajuk penting yang akan diliputi ialah model keseimbangan statik dalam penentuan pendapatan negara. Di bawah tajuk ini, perbincangan ditumpukan kepada keseimbangan sebelah permintaan, keseimbangan sebelah penawaran, dasar fisikal, dasar kewangan dan dasar pendapatan, model carian, ketegaran upah dan pengganguran, dan jangkaan rasional dan dasar permintaan. Di samping itu, kursus ini turut membincangkan tajuk fungsi permintaan sektoral yang meliputi teori penggunaan, permintaan pelaburan, permintaan dan penawaran wang, dan sektor asing dan imbangan pembayaran.

Course Learning Outcome

After attending this course, the students should be able to:

  • explain the macroeconomic model in terms of the standard IS-LM and IS-PC-MR model in the good market, money market, and labour market.
  • analyze the role of fiscal and monetary policies
  • understand the role of consumption, investment, and finance in economic activity
  • analyze the macroeconomic model in open economy
  • understand the economic growth model in terms of exogenous and endogenous growth model
